High tech steps for making a 6 inch high geodome paper model
I Make 8 paper hexagon panels
1.) Use a computer spread sheet program and spread sheet
formulas to determine the Cartesian coordinates of
the corners of a hexagon drawn inside a six inch
diameter circle.
2.)Use a computer assisted design (CAD) program to draw
a six inch diameter circle with a hexagon drawn
inside.
4.)Print and cut out the circles.
5.)Fold back the fold lines to make flaps.
(See diagram above)
II Make 6 paper square panels
1.) Use a computer spread sheet program and spread sheet
formulas to determine the Cartesian coordinates of
the corners of a square drawn inside a 3.5 inch
diameter circle.
2.)Use a computer assisted design (CAD) program to draw
a 3.5 inch diameter circle with a hexagon drawn
inside.
4.)Print and cut out the circles.
5.)Fold back the fold lines to make flaps.
(See diagram above)
III Staple the flaps together. (Click geodome to see how
panels fit together.)
