How to Write a Movie Review

After you watch a movie rental (with vampires as a necessary ingredient), please do the following:

1. . Start writing an introduction based on your overall impression on the movie. Do not say right away "this movie stinks" or "it's one of the best movies I've ever seen". Rather, refer to a scene in the movie that you think is important for the entire "spirit" of the production.

2. Write a short narrative in which you mention setting, main characters and performing actors/actresses, and elements of the plot. Do not summarize the movie, and don't even think of telling people what happened in the end. Try to keep the element of unknown or suspense.

3. Find some good part of the movie, whether in direction, acting, photography or plot. Be specific and refer to moments of the movie itself.

4. Be nasty and show where the movie failed to impress such an educated moviegoer as you. Again be specific.

5. Give the movie a rating, based on a system that you explain at the end of your review.
