Enhancements/ Follow-Up

- View and discuss the film: “Frank Lloyd Wright” - by Ken Burns & Lynn Novick, a documentary presentation of the life and works of the greatest modern architect, 160 minutes, available through PBS at http://www.shoppbs.org/home/index.jsp

- Create an idea for a building in your hometown using the principles of Frank Lloyd Wright’s organic architecture for inspiration. Construct a three-dimensional model of your building out of paper or cardboard and share with your class.

- Pretend you are Frank Lloyd Wright, and have classmates interview you.

- Visit the Guggenheim Museum and Central Park in New York City and sketch from nature.

- Investigate other web sites on your own to find information on contemporary modern artists and share with classmates.

- Have students design their own exhibition space and curate their own show.  Using postcards or color images students should pick up to 5 works of art and display them in the order they want.  They should create an identifying label for each work and give a title for their show.
