View and discuss the film:
“Frank
Lloyd Wright” - by Ken Burns & Lynn Novick, a documentary
presentation of the life and works of the greatest modern architect, 160
minutes, available through PBS at http://www.shoppbs.org/home/index.jsp

Create an idea for a building in your hometown using the principles of
Frank Lloyd Wright’s organic architecture for inspiration. Construct a
three-dimensional model of your building out of paper or cardboard and
share with your class.

Pretend you are Frank Lloyd Wright, and have classmates interview you.

Visit the Guggenheim Museum and Central Park in New York City and sketch
from nature.

Investigate other web sites on your own to find information on
contemporary modern artists and share with classmates.

Have students design their own exhibition space and curate their own show.
Using postcards or color images students should pick up to 5 works
of art and display them in the order they want.
They should create an identifying label for each work and give a
title for their show.
