Scenario

You are the Director for the FIU International Hurricane Center located on the campus of Florida International University, in Miami, Florida, and as such, are continually recruited to visit elementary schools in the Miami-Dade County Public School System.

Mrs. María González, principal of Southside Elementary School, has just convinced you to visit her school for three consecutive days and make a presentation to students in grades four and five regarding the development, impact to the environment, and general information on volcanoes, hurricanes, and tornadoes.

However, there is one small problem. The International Hurricane Center, will be closed for repairs the week before the scheduled visit to Southside, and all employees will be on vacation. All of the necessary documents needed for the presentation will be locked away for safety, and you will need to research this information again. Fortunately, you are able to convince four of your loyal employees to assist you and work without pay.

In today's technological world, this does not present a problem. With cellular phones, laptops, the Internet, and wireless connections, you can easily retrieve information at the speed of a click.

Your research may be presented in the form of a multimedia presentation, using PowerPoint, iMovie, video, digital pictures, text, graphics, etc.

Good Luck on your Whirlwind Tour.
