Student will effectively use multimedia and technology in presentations.
Objectives
Divide students into small groups, with each student have a specific job to
complete data collection and produce multimedia project: writer, editor, graphics,
digital photos, scanner, layout, and typist.
Have students use a variety of
electronic media, such as the Internet Yahooligans
Wild Weather,
NOAA Weather and NOAA
News, information services, desktop publishing, software programs to create,
revise, retrieve and verify information.
Students can use Kid Pix,
PowerPoint, HyperStudio or other multimedia programs to present information.
At the start of the Weather Watchers Unit, have students design a weather
cover for their weather unit. Teachers can use Rubistar
for assessment purposes. Students should place all information
collected and work completed into this portfolio. Portfolio can also contain
disks with work, saved URL's of weather web sites and digital photos. This
information can all be used in the student-created multimedia presentation.
