What's happening on the third rock from the sun?

This world is becoming over populated; it has to make room  for almost one billion people who have been born since 1980. Entire forests are being cut down to fill  once wild areas with homes and businesses.  Whole ecosystems are being destroyed and many animals are becoming extinct.  We are in a state of emergency even if people don't want to realize it.  Let's not wait until it's too late to rescue our world. Educating our youth on environmental issues and holding them accountable for their future will help the continuance of the care for our earth.  Empower your students in becoming good stewards of their inheritance. This "across the curriculum" unit  teaches them to use their critical thinking skills to determine what the environmental problem is and to decide solutions to this global situation- how to save our earth.
