Climate
Tropical Rainforest are
a hot and very moist biome. Although tropical rainforests receive

hours of sunlight daily, very little sunlight ever reaches the ground. So
it stays very wet close to the ground.
Temperature: 75 degrees - 80 degrees
Rain: 60 to 160 inches throughout the year

Tropical Rainforest Animals

Tropical rainforests have the greatest number and variety of animals than any
other biome. Over 15 million kinds of plants and animals live in
this biome.
The reason for this is because:
It is warm.
It has water all year long.
There are so many plants and animals there is always food to eat.
Some
animals
include:
monkeys
birds
snakes
frogs
jaguars and many, many more
Since there are so many trees the animals hide in the trees from their predators.

Tropical Rainforest Plants
The tropical rainforest has so many trees that it forms three
different layers--the canopy, the understory, and the ground layer.
The top layers are giant trees that are very old. The middle layer has big
trees and on top of the branches of these trees many small plants attach
themselves so they can live. Some of these plants are:
orchids (There are over 450 kinds of flowers).
giant ferns
bromeliads
a variety of vines
Insect eating plants
